Electrical Engineer (m/f/d)

Tasks:

• Development of automation and power switchgear concepts
• Creation of interface lists and concept diagrams
• Preparation of cable diagrams, control cabinet drawings and cable lists
• Design and calculation of intrinsically safe circuits and instrument transformers for installations in hazardous areas
• Editing block diagrams for automation systems
• Preparation of studies and specifications
• Reviewing drawings and documents from external systems
• Communicating with suppliers, customers and classification societies to clarify technical details
• Carrying out factory acceptance tests and creating test specifications
• Participation in commissioning and testing

Profile:

• Electrical engineering degree, preferably in conjunction with vocational training in an electrical engineering field
• Strong affinity for switchgear construction or initial experience in project planning for automation or switchgear systems in shipbuilding or process technology
• Knowledge of common regulations such as VDE, IEC and classification regulations for seagoing vessels is an advantage
• Willingness to travel worldwide from a few days up to about 3 weeks, including participation in sea trials
• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written
• Proficient with MS Office
• Ideally knowledge of common CAD systems, especially WSCAD
